Magna Graecia, Apulia, Hellenistic Period, ca. 3rd century BCE. A complementary pair of fired blackware vessels. One is a small handled jug, probably for holding oil, with a ribbed body and handle made of twin . The other is a thin-walled cup with twin handles and a round foot. The larger of the two has iridescence. Size of largest: 5.25" W x 3.1" H (13.3 cm x 7.9 cm)

Provenance: Ex- private collection of James Farmer, Maryland, collected from major galleries and auction houses between 1995 and 2005
