Magna Graecia, South Italic, ca. 340 to 325 BCE. Three sweet and petite wheel made pottery vessels: the first presenting a bulbous body, corseted shoulder, cylindrical neck that flares ever so slightly, and a single strap handle joining neck to shoulder, all on a round concave foot; the second of a corseted, amphora-like form with handles that are pinched in the middle; and finally, a pitcher with a near spherical body that dramatically narrows to form a tubular neck which flares to a wide mouth, with a single strap handle joining neck to shoulder, all upon a slightly concave round foot. A lovely trio from the Greek colonies of South Italy. Size: mini amphora measures 2.75" W handle span x 2.75" H (7 cm x 7 cm)

Condition
Smaller pitcher shows minor surface wear with a few scuffs and white mineral deposits. Larger pitcher in similar condition with earthen deposits on interior and smoke clouds from firing process on lower walls. Mini amphora-like vessel has a chip to the lower exterior wall, expected surface wear and mineral deposits.
