Description
Greek, manufactured in South Italy, ca. 340 BCE. A very fine pottery single handled cup. Some call these dippers or kyathos or, but it is more likely this was used as a drinking cup, similar to a skyphos, but minus the one handle. Size: 4-5/8"W x 2-1/4"H.
Provenance: Ex-private Houston, TX collection acquired locally at auction or art gallery between 1983 and 1995.
