Magna Graecia, South Italy, ca. 5th to 4th century BCE. A beautiful wheel-made pottery bowl of a graceful form with an out-turned rim, the body on a ring foot. The black glaze has developed a striking iridescence over the ages. Size: 6.375" W x 2.375" H (16.2 cm x 6 cm)
Provenance: Ex- Collection of James Farmer, Maryland, collected from major galleries and auction houses between 1995 and 2005
