A Vienna figure of a boy with dog, circa 1760, together with a Vienna figure of a soldier, circa 1850
The boy wearing a purple costume with blue belt and collar and yellow shoes, the base edged with gilt scrolls; the soldier holding a musket, wearing a white jacket with blue cuffs and iron-red breeches and stockings, the base moulded with a label inscribed 1720., 16cm and 18cm high, the first with shield mark in underglaze-blue and impressed Q; the second with impressed shield mark, date code 850 and numeral (minor restoration) (2)

Condition
Figure of boy with dog:
There is some restoration to the fingers of both hands. The hands are covered in discoloured old overpainting. The right thumb is broken off.
The tip of the dog's nose is restored with some discoloured old overpainting.
There is some restoration along the tip of his blue sash.
A small branch at the top of the tree-stump is broken off (some old traces of paint below the break).
Soldier:
The tip of his musket is restored. The gilt hilt of his sword is restuck and the ribbon is chipped.
Otherwise in good condition.
