Description
Native American, Southwestern United States, Anasazi/Ancestral Puebloans, ca. 1250 to 1350 CE. A sizable, apple-shaped jar formed via the coil-and-scrape technique displaying a wondrous linear motif in classic black-on-white. A pair of petite handles flank the squat spout centered atop the gently sloped shoulder, and the base is slightly rounded but stable to keep the spout upright. Size: 6.5" W x 6.625" H (16.5 cm x 16.8 cm)

Professional repairs to body and base, with restoration to one handle, and resurfacing with overpainting along new material and break lines. Minor abrasions and fading to pigment, with some petite spalls and nicks, otherwise in great condition. Nice preservation to original motif. Previous inventory label beneath body.
