Description
Native American, Southwestern United States, Arizona, Anasazi / Ancestral Puebloan, Mesa Verde type, ca. 1200 to 1350 CE. A large hand coiled and scraped pottery bowl with a oval shape and black on white decoration around the interior rim. The pattern consists of bold line and checker patterns evenly spaced along the length. The bowl walls are pinched inward to create a pouring spout for liquids or perhaps funneling grains or flour. Size: 11.3" L x 8.3" W x 5.5" H (28.7 cm x 21.1 cm x 14 cm)
