Description
Native American, Southwestern United States, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), ca. 900 to 1300 CE. A pottery jar formed via the coil-and-scrape technique with an apple-shaped body, a stable base, and an overhanging shoulder decorated with black-painted spirals. The spirals perhaps represent water or clouds given their abstract presentation. Size: 4.6" L x 4.625" W x 3.1" H (11.7 cm x 11.7 cm x 7.9 cm)

Minor abrasions and pitting, with fading to pigment commensurate with age, and light earthen deposits, otherwise intact and very good. Nice spiral motif presentation.
