ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE HAND-PAINTED CERAMIC FIGURES, LOT OF FOUR, each having polychrome enamel decorations and decorated in the round, comprising three examples standing on a square base including an open-bottomed Venus having cupid standing at left side, a dolphin fish at right side, and holding two love birds, and two child examples including one holding a basket of flowers and one wearing a shouldered robe and holding a bird in right arm, and one recumbent example on a rectangular base holding a floral basket. Unmarked. Late 18th/first quarter 19th century. 7 1/2" HOA.

Example holding yellow bird undamaged; recumbent example mostly undamaged having minute flake to base edge; Venus and child holding basket examples having some minor losses including cupid's hand and some applied flower petals/flowers, and Venus' thumb glued.
