ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE HAND-PAINTED CERAMIC FIGURES, LOT OF FOUR, each having an ovoid base, comprising one example featuring a hunter with various game and a sitting dog at left side, one example featuring a man resting on a rock, holding a yellow bird in left hand, and dog on lap, one example depicting a figure leaning against a large red and white dog, and one Little Red Riding Hood example depicting a seated girl in a red shawl, holding a basket, and left arm on a wolf. Unmarked. Second/third quarter 19th century. 15 7/8" HOA.

Figure with yellow bird and dog undamaged; hunter example with hairline to back and one encircling leg; Little Red Riding Hood example with some paint touch-ups; boy with large dog having areas of professional restoration including hat, dog, and mid-section; each having characteristic crazing.
