ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE HAND-PAINTED CERAMIC FIGURES, LOT OF FIVE, comprising one group example featuring "THE GOOD TEMPLARS MOTTO." depicting "FAITH / HOPE / AND / CHARITY" as three women and a child, one couple example with "HIGHLAND / JESSIE" embossed to front, one religious spill vase example featuring a praying angel standing above two sleeping children, one example featuring a boy and girl dancing, and one two-chimney Tudor-style figural home with "Shakspere's House", hand-brushed to front of base. Second/third quarter 19th century. 15 1/2" HOA.

House undamaged; "Highland Jessie" with some professional restoration to man's arm, gun, and handle of jug; angel and children example having some professional restoration including praying hands, back of vase rim; Good Templar example with minor flake to bottom of dress on Charity and light hairline to base front; boy/girl dancers having minor chip and hairline to base with minor hairline encircling one foot. Some having manufacturing flaws including firing separations, as made.
