ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE HAND-PAINTED CERAMIC FIGURES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising one open-bottomed example featuring a hurdy-gurdy player standing on a molded base with stump to back, and three examples on square bases including one example depicting Peace featuring a woman torching weapons of war, one example featuring a woman, possibly the goddess Pomona, holding a large cornucopia with fruit, and one example depicting a boy with a goose slung over right shoulder. Unmarked. Late 18th/first quarter 19th century. 10 3/8" HOA.

Peace and boy with goose examples undamaged, having minimal wear to enamel decorations; hurdy-gurdy player in excellent visual condition having some professional restoration to hat; Pomona/cornucopia example having some scattered flakes and glued repairs including reattached head and base corner with loss.
