Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan / Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 2000 BCE. A pretty example of the painted red and black wares found at the large archaeological site of Mohenjo-Daro, a bowl with a tiny, round foot, dense geometric motifs around its exterior walls, in the form of labyrinth-like paths through squares and rectangles filled in with crosshatching. Size: 4" W x 2.5" H (10.2 cm x 6.4 cm)
