Description
Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan/Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 2000 BCE. A thin-walled pottery vessel standing on a small round foot, and with a very slightly flared rim. The interior of the rim is painted with a wide orange stripe capped by a thin brown line. The exterior is painted with a register of fish-scale like-motifs banded by brown rings and framed by brown and orange striations. Size: 4.5" W x 3.25" H (11.4 cm x 8.3 cm)
