Description
Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan/Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 2000 BCE. A deep-set bowl with a diminutive, round foot. The interior is painted with looping, oval motifs around the bowl, pale grey on a dark red background; the center is left unpainted, so that when viewed from above the motif appears to be a sun. Size: 4.75" W x 2.05" H (12.1 cm x 5.2 cm)
