Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan / Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 2000 BCE. A short, cylindrical vessel with a flat base, flat walls and shoulders, a wide mouth, and a slightly flared rim. The walls of the vessel are decorated with concentric flame-shaped geometric designs painted black on the buff surface, and the shoulders display a decorative program of concentric circles; the rim also has a thin interior band of similar black paint. Size: 2.5" H (6.4 cm).
