Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan / Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 2000 BCE. A pretty example of a low bowl with wide, flared rim, with finely-painted, geometric patterns of angled lines and crosshatching around the shoulder. Elegant and indicative of the excellent work being produced at a very early time period in this region. Size: 6.25" W x 4.45" H (15.9 cm x 11.3 cm)
