**First Time At Auction**

Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan / Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 2000 BCE. A petite terracotta vessel with a circular base, rotund body, wide neck, and a flared rim. The top half of the jar has a lovely repeating decorative program of long-horned mouflons, a type of sheep native to the Indus Valley region. Concentric horizontal linear borders in black are both above and below the register of animals. Size: 3.5" H (8.9 cm).

Provenance: private Orange County, California, USA collection, acquired before 2000
