Description

This is one unusual fixed globe lantern. It's BIG with 7" of visible globe. It has the 1861 Sargent patent for the sliding window to get the wick adjuster clear. The slider works fine. It has a fine brass top and wire bail. Note the vent holes look just like a Thompson. The intakes look just like it too. The pinch-pot has perforations for air ot get up to the flame. Just like a Brady. It has intake-bell style that resembles a Thompson. There are 6 vertical wires adn the joints are a drop of solder (pre-dates joint clips). The globe is fine. A great conversation piece for an advanced collector.
