A fixed globe lantern with a cast globe and a flat band bail. It has star-diamond-star pattern vent holes. The removable base has 6 point star intake holes. The metal is great showing original copper tone patina from a creosote dip more than 140 years ago. It has an early pewter collar on the glass fount. It has a matching pewter double oil pick wick burner. The globe has 2 verital seams from being cast. A fine display lantern with a slightly bulbous look considering the Engine base.
