Description
Inscribed "O. Neumeyer" and "1847 / 2nd DRans." (untraced member of the 2nd Dragoon Regiment, which participated in most major engagements of the war) further engraved with crossed cannons and "M" within rays (emblem of Mexico); small cow horn with carved mouth and small wooden stopper, the butt with wooden cap secured with small tacks, 5 1/4 in. L.
