Inscribed "Henry Kiersted" (identified with Henry Kiersted, c.1733-1798, resident of Essex Co., NJ, opposite New York City) with engraved decoration including a large square-rigged ship, a fish, and a view of an unidentified town (possibly New York) from the water; shaved cow horn with slightly domed wooden butt cap secured with brads and centering a capstan post for suspension; wooden stopper, 12 1/8 in. L.
