Benjamin Morris, late 18th century, painted dial with moon phase and seconds sweep, date aperture, painted spandrels, engraved brass medallion "BM", eight day brass movement, set in a highly figured cherry waisted case with fluted quarter columns, carved and scrolled pediment with artichoke central finial, pendulum and two weights, 99-1/2 in.

dial paint good overall with scattered crackle and some light flaking, calendar wheel repainted, largely original feet with some breaks and repairs at facings, probably original finials, typical shrinkage cracks, scattered wear and abrasions consistent with age and use
