1824 James Monroe Signed Grant For Land In Ohio
A land grant signed by James Monroe. 1p, measuring 15.5" x 9.5", Washington, D.C., dated March 30, 1824. Certificate No. 1760, granting 138 and 12/100 acres to Jacob Holloway of Ohio on "the South East quarter of fractional section Eight, in Township Six North, of Range Seventeen, in the District of Delaware and State of Ohio." Countersigned by George Graham, Commissioner of the General Land Office. With a white paper seal at the lower left. Docketing on verso. The grant has flattened folds, soiling, and light toning. Large and bold signature. Very good.
