Cartier created ground breaking pieces such as the mystery clocks, high fashion wristwatches, carriage and jewellery watches with oriental Art Deco designs, including the colourful 'Tutti Frutti' jewels.
The accessory timepiece became one of the principal forms of prestige from Cartier. The Cartier family retained ownership of the firm until 1964 until it became part of the Richemont Group.
