On reverse in pencil: "Gemera; Store Belonging to Henry Tisdale - who was a member of the 35th Mass. Volunteer 1862-1865. The store was located in Roxbury, Mass."
Tisdale - Residence: Dedham, Ma. Enlisted 7/23/1862 as a Sergeant. 8/16/186t2 mustered into “I†Co. Ma. 35th Infantry. Mustered out on 6/9/1865 at Alexandria, Virginia. Wounded 9/14/1862 South Mountain, Maryland. Prisoner of War 5/24/1864 North Anna River, Va. Exchanged 3/5/1865. Born in Walpole, Ma. member of GAR post (Thomas G. Stevenson) Roxbury, Mass. Died 1922.
