2 5/16 x 3 13/16 in. CDV on cardstock mount (toning, spotting, curved crease to upper left; mount with light soiling/discoloration and light wear to edges and corners). Mount recto and verso with photographer's imprints. Image signed "Jefferson Davis." Davis is presented in this oval bust portrait as an older man, possibly the year before his death.
This photograph was originally enclosed with the letter written by former Confederate officer Stephen Dill Lee, dated 10 May 1884, offered as Lot 106A.
