Description
Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. This is a nicely modeled standing figure wearing a skirt, with one hand held to its face, and the other at its side. This figure has a prominent nose and conical head, in the classic West Mexican style; it is sturdy, fully capable of standing on its own; red and black slip give it simple details. The ears have been pierced and probably once held gold rings. Size: 8" W x 14.2" H (20.3 cm x 36.1 cm)
