Description
Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hollow-built pottery figure of a standing male dancer holding one arm out to his side. His abdomen is incised with horizontal striations as well as 2 triangular panels bearing minimalist faces, and his broad face is topped with a feathered headdress in front of the slanted spout. In his hand is a petite bowl or perhaps a cupped glove worn over one hand. Size: 3.3" L x 8.75" W x 12.1" H (8.4 cm x 22.2 cm x 30.7 cm)

Professional repair along proper left wrist with restoration along break lines. Minor abrasions and nicks, with softening to some incised details, and wear to pigment, otherwise in excellent condition. Great preservation to tall figural form. Previous inventory label beneath foot.
