Theodore Roosevelt Signed Tiffany & Co. Invitation to Waldorf Astoria Dinner. Only Example in Existence!
Extremely Rare printed Tiffany & Co. invitation 4pp, for a "Dinner to / Governor Theodore Roosevelt / by the Commercial Interests of New York City / on March the tenth / Nineteen hundred / at The Waldorf Astoria." Boldly signed in the upper right margin just above a fantastic portrait of Roosevelt in light blue ink by Theodore Roosevelt as governor of New York with his full signature. The gorgeous invitation is decorated with raised gold (gilt) coats of arms just below the image of Roosevelt. Printed by Tiffany & Co with their vintage style logo on the lower right of the invitation. The invite features four pages of information related to the dinner held by the Commercial interests of New York City. Representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, Product Exchange, Board of Trade and Transportation, Coffee Exchange, Mercantile Exchange, Real Estate Exchange and the Merchants Association of New York were all in attendance. In fine condition, with some toning prior evidence of mounting on verso of last page. The invitation measures 6.25" x 8.75."

This is the only signed example of this invitation to hit the market, in fact the only record of an invitation to this event in existence that we could find was housed in the New York Public Library.
