A large group of nearly 100 photographs of President Harry Truman, captured during both formal and informal occasions and showing a playful side of the president. A unique collection of 95 black and white images of President Truman, measuring between 6.25" x 8.5" and 8" x 10", dating between ca. 1945-1960. The photographs have varying degrees of light wear, toning, and soiling. Some of the printed captions on verso have begun chipping. Edges are slightly rolled. Please refer to the photographs for further condition information, and we invite any interested parties to view the lot in person for more details of its contents. Overall very good.

The majority of the photos are from the Associated Press or the International News and have typed captions on verso or below the image. They show the wide scope of Truman's life and duties as president, from meeting foreign dignitaries, awarding medals, and attending formal functions to playing with young children, eating ice cream, swimming, playing piano, and more!
