Quarto, 24pp. With an engraved portrait of Washington as the frontispiece. Later rebound by Sangorski and Sutcliffe. The front free-end page has an old catalog entry adhered at the hinge. Light toning and soiling to page edges. Minor rubbing to the spine. Soundly and attractively bound. The last example was sold at Goodspeeds in 1960.

From the preface to the Poem: "(The author's) sole view in penning this Epistle is to express in the best manner he is able, the warm feelings of a grateful Individual towards that best of men, to whom He & every American will in all likelyhood be principally indebted for the establishment of the Independence & commercial prosperity of their dear Country."
