**Originally Listed At $500**
North Africa, Morocco, Fez (Fes) region, ca. 19th century CE. A gorgeous pottery bowl, known as a mokhfia, presenting a round bottom and thick walls that swoop up to a gracefully flared rim, all sitting upon a ring-form foot. Boasting brilliant hues of cobalt, turquoise, aubergine, lemon yellow, and black on a white ground, the interior of the dish is meticulously hand-painted with an undulating, serpent-like motif amongst intricate floral and vegetal designs, all encompassed by a striated border.
