Included in this lot is the 1st Edition, "The War Chief", 1927 by Edgar RIce Burroughs (September 1, 1875 – March 19, 1950), who was an American author, best known for his prolific output in the adventure, science fiction, and fantasy genres, and especially for creating the characters Tarzan and John Carter.The War Chief is a realistic historical novel about life and death on an Apache reservation during the final years of the Apache wars until the death of Cochise and the surrender of Geronimo. The book is in good condition orange cloth with dark brown lettering and Apache profile in nice condition with minor staining, pages are in good condition with little to no foxing noted, measuring 7.75"L x 5.25"W x 1.25"D
