Declaration Signer George Taylor Fantastic War Dated War Content ALS, One of Only a Few Known
Taylor, George. Exceedingly Rare Autograph Letter Signed Â"G.T.Â", one page, 6.5Â" x 8.75Â", May 31, 1779, Greenwich Forge [New Jersey]. Minor browning and spotting; otherwise, very good condition.
In full, original spelling and grammar unchanged:
Â"This day I receivd your favr. of the 25th of this Inst. With Duplicates of two others, the originals of which I never receivd, I immediate made application to Colo. Hooper by Letter to know what had been done with respect to the Shot & in answer receivd the inclosed from him, which will particularly inform you how & when they were removed & where I suppose they will be found at this time. I have embraced the opportunity of sending this by Colo. Proctor who has been kind enough to promise to deliver this into your own hands & am Sir Your most Obedt Servt G. T.Â"
Â"P.S. As all the Shot has been round & double headed taken away at the same time which I had not contracted with you for.Â"
