T. Roosevelt WH TLS, Bold & Vibrant Signature
Boldly signed TLS by President Roosevelt as "Theodore Roosevelt", written on White House stationery to Mr. T. T. Bullen of London, England, dated March 15, 1902. 7.25" x 9". Expected folds, creasing, slight toning and tape to the upper left corner, not affecting the striking signature of President Roosevelt.
Roosevelt thanks Mr. Bullen "for your note of the 2nd instant and the photograph" and also sends his regards to his family.
Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919) was the 26th President of the United States. Roosevelt assumed the presidency in 1901 at age 42 after McKinley was assassinated in September 1901. He remains the youngest person to become president of the United States.
