ENGLISH CREAMWARE TRANSFER-PRINTED AMERICAN HISTORICAL CERAMIC JUG, having black transfer images, one side featuring "WASHINGTON IN GLORY." with a woman and eagle mourning at an obelisk marker featuring profile of Washington with birth and death dates, and "AMERICA IN TEARS" below, reverse featuring "THE SHIPWRIGHT'S ARMS" with nautical scene depicting two sailors and ships, and "JMC" Probably Liverpool, England. Late 18th/early 19th century. 9 1/2" HOA.
