ENGLISH COPPER LUSTRE TRANSFER-PRINTED AMERICAN HISTORICAL CERAMIC PITCHER, having a yellow ground around the middle with black transfer-printed design of Lafayette on one side and Cornwallis "Resigning his Sword at York Town Oc.19.1781" on the opposite, copper lustre at top and bottom. Unmarked. Staffordshire and other areas. Circa 1825. 8 1/4" H.
One shallow flake on foot rim and some minor area of roughness of edge of base possibly from manufacturing, otherwise undamaged with some wear mostly to enamel designs.
