A stunning Ordynka saber sword with a silver guard. It has mushroom shaped quillons with vertical grooves and long langets. The centre of the guard is decorated with florals motifs with stylised flower blossoms in a frame. The silver faceted pommel is decorated with geometric motifs, with an embossed relief on top. The wooden grip is covered with ray skin fixed to the blade tang with three rivets. The grip is decorated with rhombus shape rosettes. The blade is slightly curved and double edged near the tip. Three narrow fullers go along the upper side of the blade. On the reverse, a tamga (coat of arms) of the Glinsky family is engraved. One (upper) ring has belt fittings that have survived. The wooden scabbard of the saber is covered with natural and not painted shagreen. This piece comes with an XRF laboratory report, from the independent Belgian laboratory, Hebolabo.
