ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE PEARLWARE CERAMIC FIGURES, LOT OF TWO comprising a man standing on a square base, with dog at his side, wearing winter clothing and a red scarf, and a sailor standing on a circular base, holding a bundle in left hand. Both decorated in the round with polychrome underglaze colors. First half 19th century. 9 1/4" HOA.
Man with hole in neck area, with an associated hairline, and moderate flake to underside; sailor with minor and moderate flakes, some painted over. Both some losses to enameling and firing flaws, as made.
Provenance: Property deaccessioned by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Williamsburg, VA. All proceeds to benefit the Collections Acquisition Fund._x000D_
