Description
ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE PEARLWARE CERAMIC WOMAN ARCHERESS FIGURE standing on a square and molded grassy base, with applied flower and leaf decoration, holding a bow in her left hand, a feathered arrow in her right hand, and with a yellow circular target to her back. Decorated in the round, with bright polychrome colors, and a vent hole on underside. Circa 1810. 7 1/4" HOA.
Good condition, except with a flake and chip on hat, with moderate wear and crazing. Some firing separations and other flaws, as made.
Provenance: Property deaccessioned by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Williamsburg, VA. All proceeds to benefit the Collections Acquisition Fund._x000D_
Ex-collection C. B. Kidd (retains collection label).
