Rare Broadside of President Lincoln’s & Johnsons Civil War Era “Proclamations” Pertaining to the Southern States
c. June 1866 Reconstruction Period, Printed Broadside Depiction of President Abraham Lincoln’s & Johnson’s Fourteen Different “Proclamations” issued throughout the Civil War Era, between April 15, 1861 and April 2, 1866, Choice Very Fine.
Historic Broadside titled, “Schedule of Proclamations of Presidents Lincoln and Johnson, respecting the Condition of the Insurrecting States.” 1 page, rectangular format, measuring 8.5” x 24.5”, detailing the 14 separate Presidential “Proclamations” issued, made between April 15, 1861 and April 2, 1866, pertaining to the Southern states, including the Naval Blockade, Emancipation Proclamation, Declaration of Insurrection, and also the End of the Insurrection. This well organized, clean and nicely printed on wove period paper has some light folds. The informational presentation also lists the various Southern States, counties, parishes and principalities that were exempted from the orders at bottom. A highly unusual Broadside was meant for display. Very rare. The first we have seen and offered.
