Description
A group of two Senninbari with personal objects of the soldiers'. ++ An internal piece for Senninbari. Includes 1000 stitches, coin sewn inside. many Shinto shrine Omamori sewn to exterior. Red stamp to center. Accompanied with an "Order of Rising Sun 8th Class" Rosette. Cloth: 6" x 21 1/2". Rosette medal: 3" x 1 1/2". ++ A silk Senninbari with stamp from the Sandoijui Shrine. This Senninbari contains a booklet of the soldier's ID. Soldier's name is Kita Sasasuke (Born 8th year of Taisho (1919) August 1st in Kagoshima prefecture. Medal is of the Rising Sun 8th class. Silk: 11" x 17 1/2". Medal: 2 3/8" x 1 1/2". Soldier ID booklet: 4 7/8" x 3 1/4".From the Japanese Militaria and Art Collection of John Woodall.
