Description
A Japanese Yosegaki handkerchief & Tasuki sash with a wooden plaque. Soldier's name is Abe Jin, gun soldier / 25th req. 7th co. Joined the army in 12/10/38 and fought in China. Handkerchief has shrine seals and approx. 40 signatures, all from Fukushima prefecture. Messages including "Ki Bu Un Cho Kyo". Tasuki Sash showing the message of "call to arms." Wooden plaque contains mailing address to Fukushima prefecture Abe Kikujiro. Handkerchief: 12" x 14". Sash: 57 1/2 x 3 1/2". Wooden plaque: 7" x 3 1/4".From the Japanese Militaria and Art Collection of John Woodall.
