Pre-Columbian, Mexico, Guerrero, Mezcala culture, ca. 700 to 200 BCE. This is a trio of small anthropomorphic greenstone figures. These figures have been found in Mezcala tombs; greenstone carvings of human forms and heads are the majority of evidence we have for this ancient Mesoamerican culture. All proceeds from this sale are for the benefit of 6 animal charities in Taos, NM. Size of largest: 2" W x 4.7" H (5.1 cm x 11.9 cm)
Provenance: Ex-private K. Holkza collection via family descent from her sister, acquired in New York, USA before 1975

Condition
The largest has been repaired in the center; the smallest is missing the bottom of its legs. The middle-sized on is intact. All three have clear features and carving.
