Very rare official invitation (with original envelope) to the launch of Apollo 11, sent to Alan D. Montgomery, whose brother worked directly with Dr. Wernher von Braun at the Marshall Space Flight Center. (Several items from his brother's estate, including Dr. von Braun's personal hardhat, are in this auction.) Also included in this lot is the numbered badge or credential card -- rather like a ticket -- allowing him access to the event. These Apollo 11 launch badges very rarely come up for sale anywhere, ever, and this one is in very nearly mint condition.
