Pre-Columbian, north coast of Peru, Sican/Lambayeque culture, ca. 750 to 1370 CE. An interesting mold-made pottery bowl with four jaguar heads emerging from the sides, teeth bared and eyes wide. They sit beneath a flared rim. Size: 7.5" W x 5" H (19 cm x 12.7 cm)
Provenance: Ex-Private Joan Hersey Pavao Collection, acquired in the 1970's
