Description
Holy Land, Iron Age I, ca. 1200 to 1000 BCE. A bulbous earthenware jug with a small rounded handle from shoulder to spout and a flared rim. Historically, the Iron Age in the Holy Land was the time when Israel was becoming a unified state under kings David and Solomon; meanwhile, influences from Cyrpus, other parts of the Levant, and the Phoenicians were all creating a cultural melting pot that greatly influenced pottery styles. Size: 5.5" W x 7.25" H (14 cm x 18.4 cm)
