ENGLISH PEAFOWL PEARLWARE CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF FIVE, comprising one footed waste bowl, one tea bowl, one cup and saucer set, and one shell-edge plate; all having polychrome decorations of birds with painted and sponged foliage. The designs include patterns called "Song", "Florence", and "Matilda" by G. and M. Deike. Tea bowl and saucer has a painted brown design on bottom of tea bowl, otherwise all are unmarked. Staffordshire and other areas. Circa 1810. 2 1/8" HOA and 3 1/8" to 8 1/16" D.
Good condition overall. Expected wear from use, although less than expected wear on tea bowl and saucer, expected glaze crazing; manufacturing mar on interior of tea bowl and some roughness to rim; one hairline crack to tea bowl along with flakes on rim and numerous flakes on foot rim, restoration to saucer and two flakes on rim.
