ENGLISH PEAFOWL PEARLWARE CERAMIC TEABOWL AND SAUCER SET, scalloped-edge tea bowl and saucer with molded, fluted design, bird design on exterior of tea bowl and interior of saucer is a blue bird with a long, flourishing orange and yellow tail with orange and brown plumage extending from its head, bird is perched on a thin branch with sponged daubs of green pigment for foliage. Interior of tea bowl and saucer detailed in thin brown line at the rim. The design is in the pattern called "Bobbin" by G. and M. Deike. Unmarked. Staffordshire and other areas. Circa 1810. Tea bowl 2 3/16" H, saucer 5 7/8" D.
Excellent, undamaged condition. Minor wear, manufacturing short hairline crack on rim of cup that was filled in with glaze.
